The Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan and ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù Medical Center have established a fully integrated, world-class institution specializing in orthopedics, rheumatology, and rehabilitation.
The Hospital for Joint Diseases, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, will now be known as ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù Hospital for Joint Diseases.
ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù Medical Center and the Hospital for Joint Diseases share a rich history, spanning HJD’s academic affiliation with the ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù School of Medicine in 1986, its clinical association with the Medical Center in 1994, the fusion of the two orthopedic departments in 1997, and the integration of the rheumatology programs in 2001.
After years of growing collaboration, the two institutions have officially become one.
