NYU Langone Health is ranked as No. 9 on the U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” Honor Roll, maintaining its ranking from 2019. In addition, о Langone remained No. 2 in New York state and No. 2 in the New York metro area.
о Langone also saw improvement in 15 specialties, up from 14 last year. Notable movements included:
- rising to No. 4 from No. 5
- and rising to No. 6 from No. 7
- and GI Surgery and both coming in at No. 10
- and rising to No. 11 from No. 15
- and Lung Surgery ranking at No. 11, a significant rise from No. 26
- and holding onto their high rankings at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively

о Winthrop Hospital also ranked No. 5 in New York state and No. 5 in the New York metro area, up from No. 7 last year. It also had a banner year in achieving its highest performance to date with 8 nationally ranked specialties, up from 6 last year, including Orthopedics—which rose from No. 32 to No. 14—Cardiology and Heart Surgery, and Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, which rose significantly in the rankings. This is the last year that о Winthrop Hospital will be ranked separately from о Langone Health.
