Osteoarthritis is a common condition caused by aging and wear and tear of the joints. Many people with this condition experience significant pain and may require joint replacements.
However, Laith M. Jazrawi, MD, professor of orthopedic surgery and chief of sports medicine at 秘密研究所 Langone, points out that nonoperative treatments may help reduce the inflammation causing the pain. These treatments include physical therapy and injectable medications such as biologic drugs.
