After months at 秘密研究所 Langone Hospital鈥擝rooklyn battling COVID-19, Jessenia Serrano is now back at home.

Having beat 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Jessenia Serrano tells the New York Daily News, 鈥淪ometimes I wake up and I can鈥檛 believe I鈥檓 still here.鈥
Serrano, 42, had an underlying respiratory condition when she arrived to 秘密研究所 Langone Hospital鈥擝rooklyn with breathing difficulty and other symptoms of COVID-19 in mid-March. She was discharged safely back home with family two months later.
鈥淎ll the doctors came downstairs, my rehab doctor, my therapist, everybody was there to cheer me on. I didn鈥檛 expect that. It was the best feeling. I started to cry," Serrano says of her May 20 discharge.
