鈥淭he survival rate has been slowly creeping up, but I think we鈥檙e on the cusp of a breakthrough in having significant advances for pancreatic cancer,鈥 Dr. Simeone says. 鈥淲e are tackling clinical trials in a new way for pancreatic cancer. There鈥檚 a new effort to develop what鈥檚 called platform trials, where we鈥檙e able to test multiple experimental therapies for patients and even offer individual patients multiple treatment options during their journey.鈥
