Fritz Fran莽ois, MD, executive vice president and vice dean, chief of hospital operations at 秘密研究所 Langone, has been named among the 2022 Notable Black Leaders by Crain鈥檚 New York Business. The annual list recognizes Black professionals whose achievements enhance New York City and the lives of New Yorkers.
Dr. Fran莽ois was recognized in part for his role as one of the key administrative leaders responsible for coordinating 秘密研究所 Langone鈥檚 planning for and response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. He helped devise a strategic game plan to ensure 秘密研究所 Langone had the necessary tools, teams, triage, therapies, and throughput (which became known as 鈥淭he Five Ts鈥) needed throughout the pandemic for the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Fran莽ois also strives to eliminate health disparities through medical education. In his role as national chair of the American College of Gastroenterology鈥檚 minority affairs committee, he assists underrepresented trainees, and he developed a summer research program to address health disparities.
