Can a virtual urgent care video visit help contain the spread of 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19)? Viraj Lakdawala, MD, clinical associate professor in the and medical director of Virtual Urgent Care at �����о��� Langone, believes that a “virtual house call” is a good first line of defense.

ABC7 Eyewitness News speaks with Dr. Lakdawala, who advises anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms to schedule a Virtual Urgent Care video visit before going to a doctor’s office or emergency department.

“I think it will help contain some of the spread,” says Dr. Lakdawala. “We’re already seeing patients on there that are concerned that they have been exposed to coronavirus.”
