All my life I’ve been fascinated by the complexities of the human body and how they allow us to function and participate as productive members of society. Since my early career I was intrigued by the intricate mind–body paradigm, and was fortunate to find a combined internal medicine–psychiatry residency training program.

I specialize in treating patients with complex overlapping medical and psychiatric disorders, as well as geriatric patients with a wide range of cognitive disorders, including dementia and delirium. I strongly feel that every patient deserves a well-rounded and holistic treatment plan with the highest possible standards of care.

At �����о��� Langone Hospital—Long Island, my team and I emphasize the importance of integrating medical and behavioral health aspects of care, while incorporating innovative techniques for diagnosis and treatment.

Throughout my career, my passion for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows underscores the importance of mentorship in developing the next generation of medical professionals. My research focuses on the integration of medical and behavioral health, delirium, and psychopharmacology.

I am a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and received the President’s Award from the Office of the President, Borough of Brooklyn, City of New York. I also received the Innovative Models for Integrated Care Award from the Association of Medicine and Psychiatry. Additionally, I belong to the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry, Association of Medicine and Psychiatry, and Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
