About Me
My childhood dream was to become a doctor, a goal that became even clearer while studying molecular biology at Princeton University. There, I was drawn to the idea of applying science to improve human health. In medical school, I quickly realized my passion for the hands-on, technical demands of surgery, and was most passionate for orthopedic surgery鈥檚 ability to restore quality of life to patients in pain. During my orthopedic residency at Harvard, I developed a strong interest in the anatomy, pathology, and treatment of spinal conditions鈥攁 passion I pursued through advanced subspeciality training at the Mayo Clinic spine fellowship.
My clinical expertise includes treating degenerative, sports-related, and traumatic conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. With a strong foundation in managing complex spine cases, including revision surgeries, I have developed a particular interest in ultra-minimally invasive, robotic, and motion-preserving techniques.
As an active member of the Endoscopic Spine Surgery Program at 秘密研究所 Langone, I focus on using endoscopic spine surgery to achieve excellent outcomes while minimizing incision size and muscle disruption. This approach helps promote faster recoveries, with less reliance on narcotics. Often, this advanced technique allows us to avoid spinal fusions that traditional methods might require.
My philosophy in medicine is simple: treat every patient as I would my own family. My team and I understand the importance of the trust patients place in us, and we strive to provide care with accessibility, dignity, and respect.
I am also dedicated to advancing our field through clinical research and by actively participating in national and international conferences, including the Cervical Spine Research Society, North American Spinal Society, Lumbar Spine Research Society, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. My goal is to translate the latest research and techniques into the best possible care for my patients.
